thoughts

First of all, if you haven’t read my reviews on the first 2 books then check out, Akarnae (book #1) and Raelia (book #2)! Now that that’s out of the way, lets begin with my thoughts and feelings on Draekora. {spoiler alert, I LOVED IT}

This book was full of events that had me gasping or holding my breath. Even a little tear escaped my eye at the end of the book . Damn you Lynette! Haha.

In this book we discover that there are dragon creatures, or should I say, Draekons, as they are known in this world and due to events unfolding Alex finds herself being bonded to one of these Draekons, Xiraxus, in order for her to survive passing through the Abrassa (which you could say is similar to a portal transporting her back in time – crazy, I know!!!)

When Alex wakes up in the past, she discovers herself in the same room as Roka, Kyia and of all people, Aven! Not realising what has happened to her and why her sworn enemy Aven is in the same room, she freaks out and falls of the balcony :O thankful Xira is there to catch her before anything terrible happens.

After learning that she can’t pass back to her time until Xira is rested enough to open up the Abrassa for her again, she finds herself having to live with her friends of the past, including her enemy of the future, Aven. Things are obviously a lot different to what she’s use to back in her time, and finds herself seeing the good that use to be in Aven.

Trying to understand and learn the ways of a Meyarin she discovers things she didn’t know about the people she calls her friends.. and enemies.

It’s a wonderful story to follow and hear the backstory of her friends before she was even born, and to even learn about what it was that sent Aven crazy. Alex discovers that people aren’t who they may have appeared in her time, which leads to a surprising connection between her and Niyx, who in her time, has been imprisoned for thousands of years accused of helping Aven slaughter innocent mortals – but things may not always seem as they appear.

I honestly can’t recommend this series enough! It sucks now that I have to wait for what will feel like forever to get my hands on the next book, because the way Draekora ends it’s going to feel like a small piece of your heart dies with it.

Rating: 5 / 5 stars
Do I recommend this series?  Yeyesyes x 1000
